Mary welcomes students from The King's School in Langley to the British Columbia Legislature. During their visit the students got to eat lunch with Mary and experience a lively Question Period in the House.
Opening the New Nicomekl Bridge

Mary joins Tyam Group Executive V.P. Mike Luers, Translink CEO Ian Jarvis, Langley City Mayor Peter Fassbender, and Langley MP Mark Warawa at the opening of the Nicomekl Bridge. The new five-lane bridge replaces a 40-year-old two lane structure which was vulnerable to high water during heavy rain.
Walking on 200th Street Gets Safer

Mary joins Langley Councillor Mel Kositsky, Township of Langley Mayor Rick Green, Langley RCMP Superintendent Derek Cooke, and Councillor Grant Ward to open the Willoughby Greenway Pedestrian Overpass. The new walkway spans 200th street at 68 Avenue, and will allow those on foot or bicycle to cross the busy corridor high above traffic.
Helping Women Overcome Addiction

Mary breaks ground at the new House of Hope Centre with Wagner Hills Farm Society Director Helmut Boehm, Township of Langley Mayor Rick Green, Fort Langley-Aldergrove MLA Rich Coleman, and Wagner Hills Farm founder Wes Wagner. The new centre will increase capacity for House of Hope, a facility which helps women overcome addictions and other issues. The facility is owned and managed by the Wagner Hills Farm Society. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers farm work and job skills training to help people living with addiction change their lives.
